- Secure written consult summary within 72-120 hours (24 hrs if urgent request is selected)
- Educational support to aid your diagnosis and treatment planning
How does a virtual oral pathology consult benefit your practice?
- Fast, expert input from a board-certified oral and maxillofacial pathologist on suspicious lesions—get clarity within 72-120 hours instead of waiting weeks for a specialist appointment.
- Boost diagnostic confidence when evaluating unfamiliar mucosal changes, pigmented lesions, or unusual presentations.
- Reduce risk of delayed diagnosis, especially for lesions that may require urgent biopsy or referral.
- Avoid unnecessary referrals by confirming when a lesion can be monitored, treated in-office, or followed conservatively.
- Support your treatment planning with prioritized differential diagnoses and lesion-specific recommendations.
- Make better decisions about biopsy – including location, technique, and indications – saving time and improving outcomes.
- Streamline documentation with a written consult summary you can place directly into your patient’s chart.
- Gain access to specialty expertise that many regions don’t have available locally, especially oral pathology.
- Enhance patient care without disrupting your schedule, all through a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal.
- Ideal for tricky or borderline cases, where a second set of expert eyes can prevent misdiagnosis.
- Cost-effective alternative to in-person specialist visits, especially when you only need guidance, not a full patient referral.
- Ideal for practices in areas where clinical oral pathologists are scarce, allowing you to obtain expert support even when no local specialist is available for referral.
